MANAGED HOSTING > EMAIL ERRORS & TROUBLESHOOTING > I am having trouble sending email, but can receive without issue > If you do not receive an error message, and the email(s) appears to have successfully "sent", however the intended recipients report they are not receiving your email
Please follow the steps below:
1)
If you do not receive any sort of "failure notice", ask the intended recipient(s) of your message(s) to verify that they are receiving
email from other email addresses, besides yours. If they are not,
have them check with their email service provider. If they are not
sure, try sending the intended recipient an email from another email
account, not hosted by Pebblehaven (maybe from a friend, a personal
email account, etc). If they are sure they are receiving email from
other email addresses (including possibly your test message from another
address), continue to the next step.
2)
If you do not receive any sort of "failure notice", try sending the user a message from your web
based email. If they receive your email, check with your ISP
regarding any issues they may be having that might cause such an issue
with your outgoing mail. Also try checking to see if the ISP has
any DNS in place that may be incorrectly routing your email (they may
have previously been a host of the users email/web site). If they
do not receive your email from your webmail, please proceed to the next
step.
3)
If you receive a "failure notice", email our Hosting Support Team with the address you are sending from, and the address you are sending
to. If you are receiving any bounceback message, please forward
that as well. The issue could be caused by the ISP somehow incorrectly
filtering email from your address or domain as spam. In most
cases, we can contact their ISP and try to resolve this with them. |
